Ghost stories by Andrea Allison

Ghost stories by Andrea Allison was one of the first blogs I stumbled upon, after finding this blog I only went to others because it was required for my grade.

What drew me in was the fact that her background had pictures of the old fashioned things you'd expect when looking at out of the ordinary things like witches riding their broom or an old creaky house in the middle of nowhere with a graveyard in the back yard.

This blog is full of references to other sites all about ghosts.

Her writing was very easy to read, I never got so far as to see What her preferences were on believing in ghosts or not , but it seamed that she loves finding  good stories not gust sticking to one side of a story but to the many possibility of what might have really happened, what were the causes and what peoples reactions to them were.

He appeared in your sleep

My husband and I lay sleeping, its only been an hour and were exhausted we have worked all day and were dead asleep.

My house is over a hundred years old and the last owner died in my living room. We have only been here for a month and nothing seemed out of the ordinary until last night.

My husband was in the living room with my mother doing there taxes and I was laying on my bed eating a smarties sucker. I could barley hear them in the living room and I could hear  a loud bang I believed it was my brother coming over, only to realize he would not show up for another hour.

Yesterday I hung up a beautiful  horse mount that held three plates, at the time it only held one.
Laying there all alone I watch the horse wall piece fall of the wall not straight down but out far enough to clear over my fridge and dresser. My still silent room shattered by the sound of glass breaking.   I look at the nails expecting one to have fallen of there perfectly intact.

I woke up felling my hair being pulled  and pulled again, my husband siting there screaming in his sleep pulling onto the thing closest to him.

He wakes up seconds later telling me he saw him. He was in a dark room holding a lantern and it was in front of him towering solid back. I don't know what happened next but it made him so scared we laid with the lights on for over an hour and the TV on for another few minutes.

My husband woke up with no recollection from the night before.

Short Story 2 again this is fake

My first memory was of him.

I'm only four and mom just put me to bed, I cried and kicked the whole ten feet to my room. I knew once I was in bed he'd be there watching me. Mother never believed me; to her I'm just a rambling little kid that sees the shadow of a tree.

Laying there only a few seconds since my mother has closed the door and he was there just outside of my closet; he never speaks and he has never touched me, but I see him coming closer. It's like stalking prey, sitting and waiting for my attention to falter and then he inches closer, I can hear his long black toe nails scrape along my floor leaving scratches so deep my mother started searching my room and checking my hands for anything that could have caused them.

I can hear his breathing became deeper and faster with every inch until he stops, he is so close I can feel his breath covering my whole body; he's so tall his waist is taller than my mother and he must crouch the entire front of his body to fit in my room. When he is less than a foot away from me he removes my blankets and sends a blast of cold air which he keeps surrounding my body, stealing everything I am until I have nothing left but fear.

He brings his face to mine; I can hear his bones snap as he breaks them to get closer to me. He has reached my face and he sits there staring at me, his breath no longer warm but deathly cold blowing on my face moving my hair.

He broke his death stare to look to my side, I followed his gaze to afraid to lose track of what he's going to do next. It was morning and he was staring at the sun like he wanted it, like all he wanted was to be able to feel its touch again, and then the sun’s rays shone through my window and started burning his black flesh. He disappeared to the shadow of my closet leaving me there with no energy crying unable to move on my own.

How to expel ghosts from your home

One of the first and most easiest ways to expel a ghost from your home is with sage. Sage is simple to use, all you must do is take sage, light it on fire enough for it to start smoking. Once this is done you must walk through the entire area like a house or property and wave the smoke around. The sage is used for cleaning and protecting an area and while using it you  must kindly ask any spirit or phantom from your house to leave and tell them they're not welcome on the premises.
Sage traditionally used to cleanse

Another way if to call a priest.  A priest will go room to room with holy water to expel the ghost, he has to tell the ghost to leave and he must be firm, he has to take a few steps, then he must sprinkle the water in every part of the house and even the closets, it doesn't matter as long as he gets it all. He must say a prayer for the members of the household.

This is an example of one from

PRIEST: Blessed is our God, always, now and ever, and unto ages of ages.
ALL: Amen.
PRIEST: Glory to Thee, our God. Glory to Thee.
O heavenly King, Comforter, the Spirit of truth, who art everywhere present and fillest all things, the Treasury of good things and Giver of life: Come, and abide in us, and cleanse us from every stain, and save our souls, O good One.
ALL: Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal: have mercy on us. (thrice)
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, both now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
All-holy Trinity, have mercy on us. Lord, cleanse us from our sins. Master, pardon our iniquities. Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities for Thy Name’s sake.
Lord, have mercy. (thrice)
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, both now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
Our Father, who art in the heavens, hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
PRIEST: For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages.
ALL: Amen.

Book Review: Fact or Fiction

Anne Canadeo

The book Fact Or Fiction by Anne Canadeo was thrilling! Had I had this book at the beginning of making my blog, I would have no questions. The book is double-sided in that one side starts with facts, and then you flip it over and turn it around to read the fiction. So far, I have only started reading the fact side of the book, but this is what I've found. Canadeo is such a great writer and some of the stories she has investigated and reported on are the exact same stories I have already put for you to read.

From what I have gathered from her, she completely believes in ghosts and she tells of the different types of ghosts like phantoms which she explains to just be normal ghosts and poltergeist  which she says are usually invisible and serve to just make noise through your house.
 .

The Bible contains many ghost stories.

This book, compared to others, is completely different; whereas most books look to persuade you, this one is just there to tell you the facts about what has really been said or what has been kept in actual historic records. Each chapter tells you two to three different accounts and what they could mean why they could have happened and what the actual people who saw the ghosts thought.

Looking to the back of the book, Anne tells of a family in financial trouble that moves into a very expensive house in which six people were murdered a year before. She tells of how the family fled the house and later had a book written on their experience. Most people who were intrigued by their stories researched the house. The story told of a priest blessing the house and locksmiths fixing the doors only to have the priest and locksmith deny ever being in that house. When the family was asked about this, they denied the accusations of telling a false story and claimed the ghost had followed them to a new home, which led to another book being written as well as a new fortune to live on. Anne then asked why would a family do this?  I believe it's the desire for popularity and money. People think they can claim to see something and get famous, well that's what happened with this family but as Anne showed unless the story is going to be true why even tell it.

My Fake Story

I wrote  this so that you can see how easy it is to make up stories of the paranormal.

I have seen them all my life, and now they'll never go away. The first time I saw them was when I was eight and it was in the middle of the night.I had been asleep  for about four hours and I woke up calmly opining my eyes and moving my fuzzy blue blanket down so I could look around the room, wondering why I was woken up.I looked at them and not a thing went though my mind except memorizing exactly what they looked like knowing that for some reason they were here and I needed to remember them. They looked like they were someones grandparents not old enough to have wrinkles  and be physically  weak. They had on old cloths like the kind out of a western movie. It was a woman she had a soft kind face and her husband, seeing him I felt sorry and wanted to stop looking. He was in a wheel chair and he was bald with a young, but chubby face and they looked sad siting there at the end of my bed the woman standing with her hands on her husbands wheelchairs if to keep him there while they gazed back at me.I was not scared after exchanging glances with them for about five seconds, I just pulled my blue blanket back up and went back to sleep.

The the next time it wasn't Me who saw the ghost but my best friend Sam. I was "sleeping" or really just laying there not moving with my eyes closed when she freaked out, she did not scream she did not yell, but she started shaking. Her brown eyes looked black in the dim light. She moved the blankets of her and sat on my bed,she told me it was on me siting on my stomach growling at her. I almost started laughing, she was siting there keeping herself from crying and I wanted to laugh at her, this thing is mine and it won't hurt her or me, but how was I supposed to tell her that. I don't even remember how we got into the hallway I just remember her grasping my arm felling her body shake and turning to see her scrunched up scared face. She said she had too pee, but she wouldn't leave my side I had to help support her weight to the bathroom and back and after that my mind goes blank.

The third time was at my grandmothers, I had felt it watching me and I knew it was hiding, and when I saw it, it would run under my bed not to be seen again for many nights. This was not like the white protector ones I know, this one was grey and he liked being hunched over. I saw him around five times I never got to see his hole body just his head and part of his neck or shoulder. Every night I'd leave the door open so I could always see what was in my room, I never once saw him at night always in the afternoon around five and never would he come to close to me. Except one night it was just after three in the morning I was watching Resident Evil and it had only about fifteen minutes left  and it was under my bed shaking it and shaking it. I called my mom asking about earth quakes, none had happened and he had hid again.
